Pages Sunday, December 29, 2012 We are having a very warm and sunny day here in the D.C. area. It’s been raining all week so I’ve had a hard time getting out of my apartment. But, today has been perfect. I’m glad it’s a beautiful day, because I want to go see the Christmas tree at the Smithsonian. I’ve been meaning to do this for awhile. We always go to the National Gallery of Art in D.C. every year for Christmas, but we haven’t made it there since 2010.

Russia says at least 63 Russian soldiers have been killed in the most intense fighting with Ukrainian troops in months in the country’s east. The Defence Ministry said the fighting had continued late into the night on Friday and Saturday in the area of Debaltseve, where fierce battles erupted on Tuesday and Wednesday. Kiev has accused Russia of launching a full-scale invasion by sending troops across

Russia’s Defense Ministry said 63 servicemen were killed during a Ukrainian attack in Donbass. The ministry said the bodies of those killed had been recovered and transferred to their relatives in Russia.

“More than 100 Ukrainian troops have been killed in the last 24 hours by shelling from the Russian-backed separatists, the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said Wednesday.”
